In this first part of two online interactive picture games you will test your knowledge of the names in English of both different types of housing and the main different parts of them.
In the game you will see images of the following different types of housing and the main different parts of them: basement, beamed ceiling, bungalow, ceiling, cottage, detached house, fireplace, flat/apartment, hallway, loft/attic, roof, semi-detached house, stairs/staircase, terrace house, wall & windowsill.
Once you have done this, try the second part of this online picture game where you can test your knowledge on the names in English of more parts of housing, particularly those which you find outside of them, e.g. in the garden.
It's simple. Match the name to the picture. You have 15 seconds to identify the name of the main object/thing in the picture while it is slowly revealed. Click on the name below the picture which you think it is.
The quicker you identify the picture, the more points you get. However, if you guess wrong you won't be able to make another guess for 1.5 seconds. Also, the less wrong guesses you make in the game, the more bonus points you are given at the end.
Press the 'Start The Game' button to begin the game.
Although the content (the vocabulary and images/photos) is the same, the version of this game is different (because of the screen space) between when you play it on a mobile phone and when you play it on a bigger screen device (like on a laptop, a desktop or a large interactive board screen). The game on bigger screen devices has been designed for more classroom environments.
Once you have done this game, do the second part of this online photo game on housing and parts of them.
